Siphonic Roof Drainage
Siphonic roof drainage system is made up of special outlets that incorporate an anti-vortex plate / baffle plate that prevents air entering into the pipes. The absence of air in the system allows it to run 100% full of water making use of the entire pipe section and vastly increasing flows that are 10 times faster when compared to conventional drainage systems. High velocity & downward pull of the water in the vertical downpipe generate the vacuum in horizontal piping, thus the water is sucked or siphoned from the roof making the drainage process fast and efficient. The entire system is designed and installed using siphonic principal by balancing velocities, friction, negative pressure and drain rate.

Torrent Siphonic Roof Drainage System, making Rainwater drainage process faster, reliable & efficient. Our experts have neatly curated well-engineered roof drainage system that create negative pressure in the installed piping by preventing the entry of air through specially designed outlets that leads to a full-bore flow with high velocity.
Torrent Siphonic rainwater outlets are designed and tested to allow rainwater to flow freely into the pipework below, whilst also building the level of rainwater around the outlet to rise and restrict the flow of air into the system. At this point the horizontal pipe work below becomes full (primed), and the falling column of water in the down-pipe below causes suction in the system, drawing the rainwater through at a designed and controlled flow velocity.
As the system empties the water around the outlet drops, allowing air to enter the system breaking the siphonic action, as the rain continues the process starts again and the cycle continues until such time as the rainfall intensity decreases.
